The Verve

Hoy iniciamos sesión con el tema "The Drugs Don't Work" de The Verve (gracias, NENIN, por chivarme los temas musicales).

La banda se formó en 1989 en Wigan (Reino Unido) y está compuesta por Richard Ashcroft (vocalista), Nick McCabe (guitarra), Simon Jones (bajo) y Peter Salesbury (batería). El grupo, influenciado por la músia de los 70, editó varios singles en 1993, que reunieron posteriormente en un compilatorio llamado "No Come Down". Ese mismo año publican su segundo álbum "Northern Soul" y, a pesar de situarlo entre los 20 más vendidos de Inglaterra, el grupo se separa y se dedica cada componente a trabajar en solitario, siendo Ashcroft el que más éxito consigue. En 1997 vuelven a reunirse para crear "Urban Hymns", pero dos años después Richard Ashcroft decide separarse del grupo y continuar con su carrera en solitario sacando un nuevo álbum: "Alone Whit Everybody" (2000).
